SSVM School of Excellence: Celebrating Van Mahotsav!
Our students brought Van Mahotsav to life through a series of inspiring, eco-friendly activities that proved how beautifully we can collaborate with Mother Nature. After a mindful campus walk to gather naturally fallen leaves, our young environmental stewards dove into hands-on sustainability. They crafted reusable Nature Bookmarks to inspire reading and a respect for trees , and created an all-natural Eco Enzyme floor cleaner using citrus peels and jaggery. Taking waste management to the next level, students built Mini Compost Bottles from kitchen waste , and got their hands dirty sowing coriander, fenugreek, and mustard seeds to sprout fresh Microgreens. The innovation continued with the fermentation of dry leaves to brew a nutrient-rich Natural Liquid Fertilizer , alongside the upcycling of discarded coconut shells into biodegradable Coconut Shell Planters. Finally, our eco-warriors tackled plastic and textile waste by transforming old newspapers into sturdy Paper Bags and upcycling old T-shirts into washable Cloth Utility Mats and Pouches. By returning nutrients to the soil and replacing synthetics with creative, biodegradable alternatives, our students truly demonstrated how small, green steps can build a massive canopy of change!
