At SSVM™ School of Excellence, we recognise that being part of the public and benefiting the wider community is essential to building character in children. While our school is at the heart of everything we do, we support individual children and staff to use the available facilities and resources to broaden this reach.
The numerous events run throughout the year range from annual tree-planting festivals to encouraging families in the wider community to adopt sustainable practices. A brief overview of some of our wonderful and enriching outreach activities include:
- Van Mahotsav, an annual tree-planting festival, is observed to raise awareness for planting and tending to trees. The children and educators organise various presentations in dance and dance-drama to ensure that every individual understands the importance of trees and forests.
- Swachh Bharat Ward #64, we have adopted and inaugurated this ward to raise societal awareness of keeping our streets clean and bring forward the importance of cleanliness.
- Waste Disposal Awareness, we have organised activity workshops for the residents of ward #64 in coordination with the Coimbatore Corporation officials to bring awareness of recycling.
